Let's Chainsaw Some Tree Stumps

Recently a post on AQ gave a link to the adventures of a geocacher who found it necessary to take a chainsaw to a tree stump, hollow it out and cut off the top, making a lid for the stump. She then proceeded to haul the stump to another location where she left it with her geocache inside. Some people seemed to feel that since this cache was a memorial to her daughter it was perfectly all right to do what she did. Uh.........no.........it wasn't.

I don't care what the reason for the cache was, I'm sure she could have found any number of perfectly good hollow stumps in which to conceal her cache without all the destruction.
